I was very happy to find this pink muhly grass offered. I love grasses, especially unique ones like this. I bought 3, and they came exceptionally well packaged and already pruned down for fall planting. I gifted them and cannot wait for spring to see them grow and flourish. We planted three of the Cotton Candy Grass plants mid-April (they arrived with green grass shoots about 1 foot tall) at the top of a tiered garden mound built in front of a fence where the color will show beautifully late summer and into the fall. Due to the cold weather we continue to have, I have not been able to plant the flowers yet. What I can tell you is that all of the flowers listed below are flourishing profusely. They have more than doubled in size and a couple of them have tripled. I do hope it warms up soon as they are getting too big for the house. I am anxious to see them grow around my pond and water garden area.
The packaging you sent them in was perfect for their transport. They all looked like they had been sitting on a shelf in a greenhouse rather than being pitched around in transit. I do admit the packaging was a bit of a puzzle getting them out, but well worth the effort.

These plants are so healthy, I hope they will grow in my clay soil, I can never find this type of grass anywhere near me so I jumped at the chance to buy from Wilson Bros when it became available. Packaged great, I was impressed with that, they really know how to pack the plants so there is no movement in the box. This is going to be so pretty mixed in with my wildflowers on a slight hill that gives me fits, but sedum and wildflowers will be the answer if it all grows. I have been so pleased with the whole shopping experience for not only my recent purchase of the Rising Sun Redbud and pink Muhly grass but last year’s purchase of the coral twigged Japanese maple. I have several grasses from you including the Muhlenbergia capillaris, pink muhly, which I saw on the Outer Banks, but thought I could never have. I now have 3 plus a Pennisetum alopecuroides, ‘Moudry’, and a Miscanthus ‘Morning Light’. When you have the Yellow Bird Magnolia back in stock, it will go in the middle of the triangle where the 3 white pines were cut, with grasses around. Yellow Bird is a hybrid with our native Magnolia acuminate. We had one of the cucumber trees, but it was too close to the porch and I had to have it cut about 20 years ago. I am also awaiting your restocking of The Rising Sun Redbud Tree.

This is the first time I ordered anything from Wilson Bros. I was a little sceptical as many online garden sites have been a big disappointment with poor packaging and near-death plants arriving at my door. But not Wilson Bros. The plant was very nicely packaged with enough moisture to ensure it’s life while it made the trip to my doorstep. I was so excited to put it in the ground and watch it flourish knowing that Wilson Bros. cared enough to take care of the plant until I got it. I was very pleased with the size of the plants. They were packed well. I hope they make it through the winter, because I am in zone 5b. I’ve been shopping online for plants, vines and bushes to redo my small front yard. I ordered from other companies and had very poor results. I purchased gallon-container muhly grasses. They cost a little bit more than 3-inch container grasses from another company, but were well worth it. Each plant was approximately 1 1/2 to 2 feet high. They were carefully wrapped for mailing. Additionally, the soil and pot were carefully wrapped with material that prevented disruption and which prevented moisture evaporation. This grass seems very hard to get going. Wilson Bros has provided the best that we have received from multiple growers but they are a hold your breath till they really shows signs of acclimating to new surroundings. The delivery was as promised. All was in good shape. They are in the ground and growing. No complaints……only accolades!

All the plants came in excellent condition and were a nice size. The first order was by phone and I got Spencer. He was so nice and helpful. The next order was placed online. I could not find these plants at any of my local nurseries. Shipment was very fast and with tracking info available. Can’t wait to see these plants take off and grow. Very good experience with this company and I will definitely be placing more orders.
